Jane Macintosh was born and educated in England. She studied jewellery at Sir John Cass School of Art as a second career, setting up her workshop in London in 1982.

All Jane’s jewellery is individually made using traditional goldsmithing skills and with close attention to detail. She combines silver with high carat gold or palladium (a grey metal in the platinum group) and uses a matte finish to give a soft, tactile look and feel to her clean, symmetrical designs. As well as using gemstones as highlights in her pieces, she sometimes uses less precious minerals, such as slate, whose textures add interest and depth.

As all her pieces are one-off, some of those in the images shown may not still be available. They illustrate the style and range of her work. Please contact Jane for information about any of her work. She also works to commission and welcomes all enquiries.  Her workshop is in Kentish Town, London, NW.
